Forging a Legacy Since 1970
Daman Plastic is a proud member of Welset Plastics — Kirit Mehta Group, one of India's pioneering polymer compounding houses. The story begins with Mr. Kirit M. Mehta, a visionary entrepreneur who founded Welset Plastics in 1970, recognising the immense potential of polymer compounding at a time when India's plastics industry was in its nascent stages.
Mr. Kirit M. Mehta was also the visionary behind creating the Plastivision Exhibition, one of India's most prominent plastics trade events, cementing the group's influence in the industry. In the 1985–2000 period, his sons — Jayesh K. Mehta and Kalpesh K. Mehta — joined the family business, bringing fresh energy and technical acumen to reach new milestones.
Daman Plastic was formally established in 2002 under the Welset Plastics umbrella, with ISO 9001:2015 certification underlining its commitment to quality from day one. Today, with 30,000 MT installed capacity and an active expansion plan to 45,000 MT, Daman Plastic supplies PVC, ZHFR, TPE, TPV, TPO, and custom compounds to industries across India and beyond.
