Zero Halogen Flame Retardant — fire safety without toxic emissions

Product Overview

Zero Halogen Flame Retardant (ZHFR) compounds are engineered to meet the most stringent fire safety standards without the use of halogenated materials. Our flagship Pure Safe Compounds are designed for critical infrastructure where fire safety and low smoke emission are non-negotiable. When traditional PVC compounds combust, they release toxic halogen gases — primarily hydrogen chloride (HCl) — which are corrosive, toxic to occupants, and damaging to sensitive electronic equipment in nearby areas. ZHFR compounds solve this fundamental problem by using mineral-based flame retardants such as aluminium trihydrate (ATH) and magnesium dihydroxide (MDH), which produce zero halogen emissions, minimal smoke, and significantly lower toxicity combustion gases. The result is a material that self-extinguishes rapidly, limits flame spread, and dramatically improves the chances of safe evacuation in enclosed public spaces. Our ZHFR range is certified to IEC 60754 for halogen content, IEC 61034 for smoke density, and IEC 60332 for flame propagation, satisfying the requirements of metro rail authorities, airport operators, tunnel managers, and hospital facility standards worldwide.
